EUROPA DONNA - The European Breast Cancer Coalition ist eine unabhängige gemeinnützige Organisation, deren Mitglieder nationale Gruppen aus Ländern in ganz Europa sind. Die Koalition setzt sich dafür ein, das Bewusstsein für Brustkrebs zu stärken und Frauen in Europa dabei zu unterstützen, bessere Information, angemessene Früherkennung, optimale Behandlung und mehr Forschung einzufordern.

Als EUROPA DONNA DEUTSCHLAND bauen wir mit Wissen und Unterstützung der europäischen Koalition die deutsche Stimme innerhalb dieses Netzwerks auf. Wir teilen das Ziel, die Interessen von Frauen mit Brustkrebs sichtbar zu machen und Patientinnenperspektiven in Versorgung, Öffentlichkeit und Gesundheitspolitik einzubringen.

EUROPA DONNA – The European Breast Cancer Coalition is an independent nonprofit organization whose members are national groups from countries across Europe. The coalition is committed to raising awareness of breast cancer and supporting women in Europe in demanding better information, appropriate screening, optimal treatment, and more research.

As EUROPA DONNA GERMANY, we are building the German voice within this network with the knowledge and support of the European Coalition. We share the goal of raising awareness of the interests of women with breast cancer and bringing patient perspectives into healthcare, public discourse, and health policy.

EUROPA DONNA arbeitet europäisch zu Themen wie Prävention, Früherkennung, qualitätsgesicherter Diagnostik, multidisziplinärer spezialisierter Behandlung, unterstützender Versorgung, Forschung, klinischen Studien und metastasiertem Brustkrebs. Zu den Zielen gehören der Austausch aktueller, faktenbasierter Informationen, die Förderung von Brustbewusstsein und Prävention, der Zugang zu Screening und Diagnose, gute unterstützende Versorgung während und nach der Behandlung sowie die Weiterentwicklung der Brustkrebsforschung.

Die Koalition setzt sich außerdem für europäische Leitlinien und Qualitätsstandards ein, unter anderem im Umfeld der European Commission Initiative on Breast Cancer und des Europe’s Beating Cancer Plan.

EUROPA DONNA works across Europe on issues such as prevention, early detection, quality-assured diagnostics, multidisciplinary specialized treatment, supportive care, research, clinical trials, and metastatic breast cancer. Its goals include the exchange of up-to-date, evidence-based information; the promotion of breast cancer awareness and prevention; access to screening and diagnosis; high-quality supportive care during and after treatment; and the advancement of breast cancer research.

The coalition also advocates for European guidelines and quality standards, including within the framework of the European Commission Initiative on Breast Cancer and Europe’s Beating Cancer Plan.

EUROPA DONNA bringt Patientinnenvertretung auf europäischer Ebene ein und arbeitet mit politischen Institutionen, Fachgesellschaften und Partnerorganisationen zusammen, damit Brustkrebs auf der gesundheitspolitischen Agenda bleibt. Die Koalition organisiert Konferenzen, Advocacy-Trainings, Treffen der nationalen Gruppen und Informationsangebote, damit Aktive in den Mitgliedsländern fachlich fundiert und gut vernetzt arbeiten können.

EUROPA DONNA advocates for patients at the European level and collaborates with political institutions, professional associations, and partner organizations to ensure that breast cancer remains on the health policy agenda. The coalition organizes conferences, advocacy training sessions, meetings of national groups, and informational resources so that activists in member countries can work with a solid foundation of expertise and strong networks.
